Some of my favorite Calvin and Hobbes strips. Bill Watterson had such an incredible cryptic and philosophical style, and it just makes me excited to read the comics over and over again.

i grew up reading these comics and the best thing is re-reading them as you get older and thinking that they are even more great than they were as a kid, because you can realte more and more to Calvin

Kind of shocked I don’t see more of these guys on here.

I just found the transcript of an interview about Vega on this page, and was very gleeful about this: “there’s something very beautiful in me exploring that feminine side of a masculine character. And she sort of is the masculine to his feminine. Which I think is very interesting and…

Just discovered this show (Motive) a couple weeks ago and obsessively watched up through S2 finale!!!! Love watching the dynamics between these two…and ugh…the S2 ending…Vega’s eyes…soooooo sad … can’t wait for season 3!

In the 1950’s and early 1960’s, many remote Newfoundland out-port communities were forced to move to more accessible locations, under a government program known as Resettlement. Hundreds of Newfoundlander’s who had built their homes alongside their grandfathers and fathers, refused to simply abandon them and rebuild. So, by barge, boat, blood & sweat, they moved them across bays and around capes. Family homes were floated to there new locations.

Amazing…such resourcefulness.
